Farm Resilience Programme - 4 free events plus optional business health check

We’re proud to announce that the Warwickshire Rural Hub has been asked to become a delivery partner for the Royal Countryside Fund’s 2026/27 Farm Resilience Programme.

The RCF’s Farm Resilience Programme started in 2016 with the whole farm and whole family in mind. It supports farms facing increasing volatility around prices, policy change, weather, and declining support payments. It’s designed to provide practical, independent support to help farms step back, review options, and plan with confidence.

Farmers in Warwickshire are now invited to express their interest in taking part in this year’s programme.

What’s involved?

Representatives from the farms need to attend 4 workshops to be held before 31 March 2027.    Dates, timings and locations are still to be arranged and we’d love to hear what would suit the participants.    The workshops are 3 hours long plus time for a meal and networking.  Minimal information is required from the participants to take part in the programme.

The workshops will cover:

Workshop 1 – making sense of the shifting agricultural trends and exploring the changing agricultural landscape

Workshop 2 – helping farmers explore current and future environmental and business opportunities

Workshop 3 – Planning for change and equipping farmers with the tools and confidence to develop both short-term plans and longer-term business strategies

Workshop 4 – succession

All participants are also invited to complete a business health check tool, but this is not obligatory.  The tool is a farmer-friendly way to break the business into enterprises, understand where money is made or lost, and identify priorities. It uses information already in farm accounts (e.g. accounts, tax returns, livestock numbers). Figures don’t need to be perfect – the value is in insight, not detail. Each farm receives a confidential individual report and optional follow-up support.
