Warwickshire farming families are invited to attend a one day workshop on how tackle the conversations they keep putting off.

This practical event will concentrate on how to talk about who does what, where the money goes, a change one person wants and another won’t hear of, the argument that’s been going round for years, and who takes over.

Farms are being asked to change faster than ever. In the space of a year there have been inheritance tax changes, an SFI26 application window that shut in under six hours, and margins that leave little room for error. Every change means a decision, and every decision means a conversation someone would rather not have. Succession is one of them: NFU Mutual found half of UK farms still have no succession plan.

The Workshop is part funded by AHDB Beef and Lamb, reducing the cost for the workshop to £50.72 per person, this includes training materials, refreshments for the duration of the workshop and a voluntary follow up session with the facilitator Amy Hughes.
