25 Aug 2026 RABI launch emergency drought grants for midlands farmers on 5 October
£2,000 grants will be available to eligible farm owners and tenant farmers whose principal farming business is in an area officially designated as being in drought. The grants are being released in phases across the country. The midlands phase will open on 5 October.
The grant is designed to provide rapid financial support towards personal and household expenditure where drought-related pressures have contributed to financial pressures.
Applicants will need to provide evidence of the farming business through the upload of appropriate documentation.
The closing date for the midlands phase is due to be 9 October, but may be earlier if the allocated funding has been fully committed.
