01 Apr 2026 Driving innovation in Warwickshire’s Rural Economy

There was fantastic energy at the Growing Your Innovative Agricultural Resources event, at NFU Stoneleigh on 10 February 2026. This partnership event was organised between Rural Hub, Warwickshire County Council, NFU, Innovation for Agriculture, Connected Warwickshire and the River Severn Partnership AWIR.

Keynote speaker was Overbury Estate Farm Manager, Jake Freestone who told us how soil health underpins resilient, profitable farms.  Neave Anderson from Hartpury demonstrated how they test innovative technology on their farm and Dr Megan Lewis from Harper Adams shared how evidence based insights are transforming on-farm performance.  Dr Helen Ferrier from LEAF reminded us that collaboration is everything and no single organisation can solve sector wide challenges alone.   After the presentations had concluded there was networking over lunch and into the afternoon.
