08 Sep 2025 Professor Jamie Waterall visits a farmer health and wellbeing event
Our 8 September 2025 health and welfare event at Rugby Farmers’ Mart cafe was marked by visits from special guests. Firstly, the event was funded by donations in memory of Illmington farmer, Sid Betteridge, and Sid’s daughters and grand-daughter came along to the cafe to meet the team and other farmers. We were also honoured to welcome a visit from Professor Jamie Waterall, who is the Chief Public Health Nurse at the Office for Health Improvement. Jamie came along at the invitation of Parish Nursing Ministries UK National to see how rural communities are being supported with health care. Jamie said “Thank you for for allowing me to attend this event. I was genuinely inspired by the inclusive approach and exceptional communications skills of the team, reaching people who clearly need support and intervention”.
