12 Oct 2026 Watch a webinar on the work for accommodation concept

On 8 October 2026 Warwickshire Rural Hub collaborated with Far From to run a webinar on the work-for-accommodation concept. This concept connects travellers with hosts for authentic immersive volunteering stays and experiences. The hosts – such as farms, vineyards, glamping sites – offer travellers free private accommodation in return for voluntary assistance for a few hours a day.

Far From Travel specialise in taking on hosts in beautiful locations. The accommodation must be private to the volunteer(s), who tend to be 25 years and over. Many of the travellers are taking a career break and some are retired. The type of skills required by hosts include farm work, animal care, DIY, general maintenance or digital support.

Rural Hub members can take advantage of a discount if they sign up to be a host. Please use the code BASE40 to get 30% off your annual subscription to just £35.
