03 Aug 2026 Sale of bird paintings to raise funds for Sun Rising nature reserve

When Robin Restall passed away in 2023, nearly all his artwork was donated to the Natural History Museum in London.  However, a few dozen pieces were retained to sell in aid of the charity, The Friends of Sun Rising, to help care for the nature reserve where he was laid to rest into the long-term future.  The reserve is located in Lower Tysoe, Warwickshire, and is a natural burial ground.

These art pieces are now available for sale, at an event being held on 22-23 August and online.

Some of the paintings are from his opus, The Birds of Northern South America, with others painted for other publications and areas of study.
