21 Aug 2025 How old was the tree? The winner is announced!

On the Rural Hub stand at the Kenilworth Show and Open Farm Sunday 2025, we ran a “How old was this tree?” competition, when visitors were asked to count the rings on a slice of oak to confirm its age.  Over the two events we received 48 entries, but only1 person correctly counted the rings!  The correct entry came from Evelyn.  Evelyn won a bird box, bird feeder and a bag of bird seed which were presented to her by Jane and Karen on 21 August.  Here’s Evelyn with her brother Rex showing off the prizes.  Congratulations Evelyn, your careful counting of the rings won you the prize!
